Role: Fire Alarm Engineer

Location: Yorkshire

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Call Out: ¼ - £70 for the first 3 Hours - Normal rate after

Call out Rates: 4:30pm - Midnight 1.5x Midnight onwards and weekends 2.0x

Call Out: Covering the East Cost as far as Scarborough on social housing contracts - rare

Contracts: Emergency Services

Standard Hours: 8am - 4.30 Monday - Thursday, 8am - 3.30pm on Friday. After 4.30pm

Overall Objective

To undertake planned and reactive maintenance of electrical works to a diverse client base, working in and around new build, existing occupied, public sector, social housing and refurbished properties.

Key Accountabilities

Specialising in Fire Alarm systems, the successful Fire Alarm Engineer will take up a field based role and be tasked with carrying out installation, maintenance and commission on a variety of contracts.

Time served as a multi-discipline Fire Alarm Engineer with 3+ years' experience

Experience carrying out installation, maintenance and commission on a range of fire alarm panels.



* Experience working with Intruder / CCTV / Door Access systems would be advantageous

Experience and Qualifications



* Full Electrical Apprenticeship including City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & Part 2 or NVQ level 3.
* 17th Edition IET Wiring Regulations BS7671.
* City & Guilds 2391 or 2394 &2395 electrical Inspection and Testing.
* At least 2 years' maintenance experience.
