job description

We are working for a client who owns a portfolio of properties which are leased by a housing association, who specialise in the care and support of vulnerable adults. As the landlord of these properties, our client must maintain these occupied flats and houses to a safe and good standard. Therefore, they are seeking a suitable qualified trade's person to carry out all repairs including and not limited to carpentry, like for like plumbing, patch plastering, splash back tiling, lock repair, painting and some exterior maintenance.

In addition to this, our client will also require someone who is able to carry out repair and maintenance to their domestic boilers and central heating systems, so you must also be Gas Safe qualified.

With potential issues arising with sockets, light fittings and general wiring, we are also seeking a candidate with a suitable electrical qualification such as Part P and 17th edition.

The properties are located in the London boroughs of Hounslow, Ealing, Harrow and Watford so our client will also supply a full expensed van for business use.

The ideal candidate for this role will have had experience of social housing repair and maintenance or potentially facilities maintenance on a PPM basis. Our client has great growth plans and the next phase of their growth is the development/acquisition of a further 45 new properties taking their portfolio to around 80 properties. This will mean further responsibility and potential career development as additional staff are recruited into the maintenance team.
