I am looking for a recent graduate in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain with exposure or experience as a Production Planner/Controller, someone who is methodical in their approach can take information on board and look at it from different angles to then create a plan. Someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and get stuck in!
Responsibilities:You will be responsible for planning and managing materials, parts and stock all over the world.The planning of several manufacturing departmentsPurchasing the material requirementsProduce Weekly/Daily Production plansDeliveries to customers on time, to quality required, to quantity requiredProduction control; People, materials, machines" from order to deliveryTo analyse & report weekly on on-time deliveriesLiaising/providing up to date information to the sales team To support other production team members as and when requiredTo support other management functions as requiredSupporting the Quality Team as required on Technical/Quality issues.To be proactively involved with the profitability of the businessIdentify and resolve constraints within the manufacturing process.Speaking with suppliers as well as internal and external departments at all levelsLiaise with Management, internal departments and all customersMonitoring daily/weekly performance of the different production areas through KPI'sIdentify opportunities for cost reduction through change in processDefine long term production plansYou will be assessed on; On-time delivery performance; New product introduction on time and on budget
About you?Recent graduate in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Mathematics or a similar degreeExperience as a Production Planner/ Controller in a manufacturing environment Strong mathematical skills Should be confident and competent on Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel)Engineering background/ understanding over engineering practices would be advantageousExcellent problem-solving skills and a logical way of thinking are essentialMethodological in your approachGraduate level would be preferred but not essential
Role:Salary £24,000 - £28,000Hours of work Mon - Thurs 0830 - 1700 & 16:00pm finish on a Friday25 days + BH
