Role Summary:

The Associate Technical Consultant is a key role within our Services team, responsible for delivering technical services to new and existing customers across the UK & Ireland.

To realise the benefits of efficient and effective workforce management using our technology, customers require our solutions to talk to each other and to other business critical systems. These integration projects help to automate crucial processes such as payroll and annual leave management and to share and synchronise other data sets, such as details on the available workforce each day and the live patient demand.

The Associate Technical Consultant will provide consultancy and guidance to customers on all aspects of integration from technical activities and data management to best workflows for different projects. In addition to these consultancy activities, the Associate Technical Consultant will design, build and develop interfaces, deliver data migrations and undertake other bespoke technical specialist activity outside of the core systems. Allocate uses Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to connect to other systems and the Systems Integration Specialist will use these tools to deliver new functionality and to manage interface issues and errors to resolution or mitigation.

The role will also provide support in the use of other systems for advanced data analysis, custom reporting and other bespoke developments when they arise.

The role will be part of a multi discipline team including Business Analysts and Project Managers.

The right candidate will be encouraged to master new technologies, software and methodologies to keep their skills up to date in order that they can best support our customers.



Responsibilities:



* Discuss interface, migration and other technical requirements and workflows with customers on the phone or on site
* Document workflows and describe solution proposal
* Design, build, configure and test interfaces remotely
* Contribution to the software development and programming of custom solutions in support of Allocate products delivering integration of data flows, reporting enhancements, and/or other specialised functions.
* Maintain customer involvement in projects during the delivery phase and own the customer and internal stakeholder communications relating to the project
* Provide technical support for interfacing requirements with external systems ensuring the software performs effectively and escalating problems when required
* Estimate effort and help produce quotes for new business.
* Report progress on technical activities to management, maintain and update technical installation details, project checkpoints and support log issues as required.
* Manage and resolve day to day problems and issues with the software, escalating as required to product or development resource within Allocate Software.
* Appropriately communicating technical environment issues and supporting the Client in resolving any issues related to the technical provision of the software.
* Produce both verbal and written reports on activities at agreed intervals, and whenever substantive actions are required.
* Provide support services to the service support desk as required resolving problems and fault reports - escalating systemic problems to the development and product management teams.
* Develop and maintain productive collaborative working relationships with other members of the team.
