job description

The client are a privately owned house builder based in Berkshire that specialise in the development of mid - high end, traditional build housing throughout the Thames Valley region.

They are currently recruiting for a Groundworks Manager to oversee their inhouse groundworks team. At any one point the individual will be responsible for overseeing one site thats finishing and starting up a new job simultaneously. Candidates must have at least 5 years experience working in groundworks, must have experience managing groundworks teams and must be based within an hour of Reading. Due to the level of experience required the client have stated they would be looking to pay up to £60k + package.

Responsibilities

Day to day duties will include overseeing individual site teams, which will be headed up with project managers and site managers, making sure they are reporting any potential risks or issues, are staying on time / programme whilst also maintaining costs. This role will also be client facing as you will be expected to liaise with clients on each project to represent the company, making sure client's specifications are being met and they are happy from the pre-construction phase all the way through to delivery.
