An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Head of HR to join a small insurance broker based in the city.
The role will involve leading the HR division (team of 2) and providing a high level of service to the business.
The successful candidate will report to the CEO and will be an important member of the leadership team. Responsibilities will be mostly operational with some strategic aspects and project work.
This role would suit someone who has worked as a Head of HR/Business Partner or HR Manager in another SME ideally within insurance or financial services.

Responsibilities will include:



* Deliver best practice HR services to the London office. Establish guidelines as required for the international offices
* Deliver a full HR service including recruitment, payroll, termination, legislation, policy and procedures, learning & development
* Advise on directors' and staff benefits
* Advise senior management on HR issues to resolve to a satisfactory conclusion
* Support the HR team on all day-to-day issues and in the implementation and completion of HR projects
* Ensure that capability and competence is maintained for all staff and standards are met against job profiles. Handle the recruitment process for all vacancies within the company, liaising with heads of divisions and recruitment agencies and ensuring the recruitment process is carried out in line with company policies and annual budget
* Prepare offer letters of employment and consultancy agreements, in line with the annual budget and the heads of divisions and the CEO
* Overall responsibility for the payroll system, processing and remuneration function.
* Liaise with HR Officer to ensure that the monthly payroll is accurately entered and fully checked; create wages control; upload Pension contributions to provider; complete any monthly documentation required to be sent to HMRC

This role requires an operational HR professional who is CIPD qualified or equivalent with demonstrative experience in the above areas.

The role is offered either 3 or 4 days a week.
