We are pleased to inform you of an exciting opportunity which has arisen for a well-qualified, dynamic and inspirational teacher to lead the Maths Department at one of our mainstream secondary schools in the borough of Hackney.

They are looking to appoint immediately, but seek an individual who has a proven track record as a teacher and demonstrable leadership skills. You will be responsible for both teaching, and working with other teachers to raise standards, ensuring Maths is taught at the highest level so that even the brightest children are challenged.

This is a full-time position starting in September 2019

The ideal candidate will:

* Have a QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
* Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
* Have evidence of leading, supporting and managing others
* Be able to demonstrate successful experience of embedding cross-curricular subjects

You will be expected to:

* Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the subject area
* Ensure that all school policies and procedures are implemented and applied consistently by all staff in the subject area
* Have the highest ambitions for your pupils, the department, the school and yourself
* Have a track record of successful learning and teaching, with proof of having delivered results
