We are looking for someone who is operationally focused, has experience in managing "managers", a proven ability to implement and improve processes as well as ensuring cost effective running of the distribution operation.
The Role:You will oversee and be responsible for managing managers, processes, systems and costsYou will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost effective running of the warehouse operations to agreed budget and service level targetsYou will Implement and support operational and service improvementsProvide leadership, encouraging a learning environment and developing/supporting/mentoring the warehouse management teamEnsuring that employees are actively involved in the success of the operation.Ensure all trade, express, UK consumer and international orders are dispatched within KPI'sEnsure the continuous improvement of all processes & servicesHealth, Safety and Welfare practices are adhered tooHR Responsibilities - disciplinaries, sickness, holidays, 121s for management
About you?Worked in a Head of Operations, Distribution or a similar role within a e-commerce/ FMCG/distribution company is essentialYou MUST have experience managing mangers in all aspectsA leader that can influence and someone who has experience in managing people/ process systems and costsOperationally mindedExperience of delivering effective high volume, high service level outbound operations. Managing projects through to completion. Experience in leading and managing changeExperience in B2B and B2C operationsDealt with inbound and outbound goodsExcellent communications skills verbal and writtenHands on in your approachProven analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.Ability to drive team performance and development.Knowledge and experience of quality control and processes.Knowledge and experience of health and safety managementNEBOSH or similar H&S qualification (Must be willing to train if not formally qualified)
