    Job Title: Head of Procurement IT
    Salary: £100,000 £110,000
    Location: Moorgate
    Hours: Monday to Friday Flexible working available

    The purpose of the role
    - Provide leadership to a team of Procurement Managers whilst continuing to take personal accountability for management of selected categories.
    - Work collaboratively with all areas of the business to deliver commercial value throughout all assigned categories of third party spend.
    - Act as a subject matter expert in Procurement in the eyes of the Business and the Procurement team.
    - Guide colleagues within the various business functions in relation to any procurement matters (Sourcing, Contract administration, SRM, SPM).
    - Support IT Management team to develop sourcing strategies and to deliver effective and fit for purposes direct and outsourced IT services
    - Support other entities with strategic procurement activity
    - Improve ways of working with key stakeholders
    - To have each member of the Procurement Team actively participating in regular meetings with key stakeholders to build strong relationships to ensure that procurement advice is readily available to help achieve business outcomes.

    Principal accountabilities
    - Leading the team of assigned Procurement Managers
    - Lead on the commercial and contractual strategic, managed services negotiations for IT services
    - Providing the business with subject matter expertise in the Procurement of assigned spend categories.
    - Accountable for maximising value generation by communicating and applying a consistent approach to Procurement.
    - Operate within the organisation's Procurement Policy and associated governance.
    - Accountable for developing and maintaining category strategy and sourcing plans for the assigned categories.
    - Accountable for obtaining, analysing and understanding category spend and presenting fact based insights and recommendations to peers and business stakeholders.
    - Drive a positive impact on operating performance and the delivery of bottom line contribution to ensure that POL meets its corporate objectives.
    - Responsible for ensuring compliance with any specific legislative, regulatory, or contractual requirements.
    - Develop, implement and maintain category strategies for the assigned categories
    - Maintain an agreed pipeline of procurements activities with the Business
    - Create a positive employee experience

    Experience
    - 10 years+ Procurement Experience with min. 3 years leading teams of category managers including having responsibility for relevant categories.
    - Depth of experience in large IT Outsourcing and reSourcing activities required.
    - Understanding of application of Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management.
    - Familiar with Public Contract Regulations (PCR 2015) Procurement and associated tendering processes.
    - In depth understanding of supply markets, commercial practices and best practice ways of working for nominated core category(ies).
    - Working knowledge of operational procurement practices and tools.
    - Retail and/or Financial Services [Retail Banking/Fintech] IT Procurement background is an advantage.
    - Demonstrate productive senior stakeholder relationships in driving sourcing strategy
