We have a new role working as a H&S Manager to promote on site safety and manage safety systems on site.

Ideal candidates will show experience working in high pressure environments in a similar role for main contractors and shall interview immediately reporting to the Project Manager on site.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership on the implementation of effective strategies for managing H&S risks, and for improving H&S performance
* Provide leadership support to the team in the investigation and resolution of H&S accidents and incidents
* Support the management of operational bids through leading on the development of H&S strategies and responses.
* Engage with other H&S professionals in the business to ensure that good and poor H&S practice is communicated effectively to encourage continual improvement.
* Work with Business sector directors, HR and the H&S Director to develop and implement an effective H&S training and competency framework.
* Provide direction and support for project H&S staff, ensuring alignment with H&S requirements.

Candidate requirements:

* Qualified Technical IOSH or NEBOSH
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience of HSE within Civil Engineering projects
* Sound working knowledge of H&S law, and relevant sector-specific H&S standards in relation to civil engineering and the operation of construction plant & equipment.
