Community care assistant required in Essex to provide care packages to support and maintain the Independence for Adults after they have been discharged from hospital. The ideal candidate would be passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals from all walks of life.

This is a full time or part time position with a pay rate of £9.00 - £9.50 per hour dependant on experience and 45p per mile.This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced carers that are looking to take the next step in their career, Or equally candidates that are genuinely passionate about supporting vulnerable adults but have no direct work experience and are looking to take on their first role in care.

This role is different to a domiciliary care position and you would get paid for the entire shift (Including when you are travelling) with mileage paid ontop of your hourly rate at 45p per mile.

The company are particularly looking for a support worker that is driven to engage and provide positive support for adults to provide care designed to help customers regain and maintain their independence and facilitate the customers to live at home in a safe, secure and comfortable way

Job Purpose -



* Help support adults that require care and support them to maintain their Independence
* Supporting adults that have recently been discharged from hospital in every day tasks such as: Personal care, Meal preparation, Encouragement, Advice and guidance, Medication administration, Blood pressure etc
* Helping to build independence
* Working within a team of carers to build and grow the Independence so that the service user can live in their own home
* Building bonds with the adults to ensure ongoing, personal quality of provision
* Working alongside qualified social workers, Managers and other care professionals to facilitate the positive growth in the service users

The ideal candidate would be:



* Passionate and genuinely caring
* Proactive at providing support to adults to regain Independence
* Aware of safeguarding
* Working with adults between the ages of 18 - 70
* Awareness of special complex needs
* Relevant statutory legislation
* Commitment to equal opportunities

Mandatory requirements -



* This job requires a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
* Driving license
* Access to a vehicle
* Flexible to work two shifts a month that fall on a weekend
* Able to work shift patterns between the hours of 7:00am - 23:00pm
