Health and Safety Advisor

Are you a Health and Safety Advisor looking for a new long term contract opportunity? Do you have recent experience working within Civil Engineering and / or construction? Are you looking for an opportunity with a reputable civils contractor in the Kent area?

If the answer is yes, then this is the perfect opportunity with a client in the Kent area who hold an excellent reputation in the local region. Whilst the client are based in Kent, this role will require you to cover various sites across the South East. Therefore, you must be willing to travel to sites across the South East on a daily basis.

You will be responsible for:

Main Duties:

* Carrying out audits and inspections on site where required and ensure non-conformances are closed out
* Assisting in project set up, pre-planning of works and safe systems of work
* Assisting in development of project specific risk registers and assessments
* Assisting in project specific training matrix development, delivery of training and Tool Box Talks upon request
* Carrying out re-active monitoring including accident, incident & near miss investigations
* Monitoring and assisting in the assessment of sub-contractors

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:

* Experienced as a Health and Safety Advisor
* NEBOSH certificate or appropriate Health and Safety qualification
* Experienced in the design and delivery of safety training programmes
* Experience in CMOISH
* Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation
* Self-motivated to constantly improve upon established safety standards.
