This "well-ordered and harmonious community" school in Crawley is searching for a passionate HLTA to add to their dedicated and engaging support team. Currently educating approximately 540 pupils, including SEN and EAL, this school believes that the child's academic and emotional progress should remain at the heart of everything they do. Pupils have said that they are proud of their school and the diversity of the community they encourage to be part of. The ideal candidate will thrive in the fair and challenging environment when supporting the class teacher to deliver creative and engaging lessons. Working as a team together with the current team to ensure the continued progress of every child, the ideal candidate will be able to confidently support children academically and socially. The school are looking for someone who can demonstrate initiative supporting classroom learning as well taking small groups out of the class. This school is looking for a flexible teacher to join their KS1 team and support across the years from January until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting small groups in classroom activities
* Leading activities inside and outside of classroom settings
* Leading intervention groups
* Helping the Teacher to set up and deliver creative lessons
* Contributing to each child's academic and emotional growth
* Ensuring clear communication between staff and parents

Please note that candidates who do not meet the essential criteria for this role will not be considered.

* Relevant qualifications (HLTA)
* 2 references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK Primary School

* An up-to-date DBS on the update service
* A job history for the last 10 years
* Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum (Phonics)
