Salary: Salaries are from 9500 - 17,500 MYR per month (approx $3200 - $5800AUD) with additional leadership allowance
Contract: 3 years (must serve 1 year minimum)

Role Overview: The Head of Department - Whole School Student Support (HoD - Student Support) is responsible for the oversight and delivery of student academic support programs across the Whole School. The HoD - Student Support is responsible for the development of practices
to ensure an excellent standard of teaching, assessment and monitoring of support programs across all year groups. They will ensure high quality Gifted & Talented, English as an Additional Language, and Learning Support programs, and promote them amongst the School and wider community. This Middle Leadership position attracts approximately 20% additional release from teaching duties plus allowance.


* Experience providing for the needs of Gifted and Talented students.
* Experience working in a Foundation to Year 12 educational environment.
* Experience leading teams of teachers to achieve school objectives.
* Able to see the 'big picture', think ahead and meet goals that are aligned to the values, purpose, mission and strategic priorities of the organisation.
* Able to plan, prioritise and organise work and resources effectively to meet departmental and organisational objectives.
* Able to develop and maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders to meet mutual goals and objectives.
* Willingness to contribute time outside of normal school hours in the provision of co-curricular activities, camps and events.
* Understanding of the principles of Visible Learning.
* Understanding of Australian curriculum requirements and approaches to design and monitoring of such curriculum.
* Competent user of ICT.
* Ability to overcome obstacles with strategic problem solving skills.
* Spoken and written English is used for all school communications and as such high standards of English communication skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening are required to be successful in this position.
* Proven ability to demonstrate initiative.
