job description

Would you like to work for a company who for over 50 years, provided accommodation, support and care services to help vulnerable people live independently? You will be expected to effectively and professionally manage a Later Life's housing scheme and provide high quality accommodation and services to older and vulnerable people.

This is a temporary position which is starting ASAP, ongoing until at least March to cover staff sickness with a mandatory need for a valid enhanced DBS.

Your Package



* 25 hours per week
* Working Monday to Friday
* £8-11 per hour

Your Responsibilities



* Actively engage with residents to promote independent living in a safe, secure and vibrant environment ensuring excellent communication at all times.
* Be adaptable as the role can change daily, depending on the needs of residents and local community.
* Proactively manage the customer journey including start to end tenancy set up and ongoing management
* Ensure all administration is effectively and efficiently completed
* Ensure that the building and all communal areas are welcoming and maintained to a good standard, reporting all potential hazards
* Respond accordingly to any initial instances of dissatisfaction or anti-social behavior on site to help resolve matters before they escalate, seeking advice and support where needed from line manager
* Actively support the income recovery team to reduce rent arrears
* Responsible for banking guest room income, TV license monies and petty cash
* Make sure that new residents are welcomed and understand how all the services operate
* Respond effectively to concerns and complaints, escalating to line management as appropriate or required
* Develop and maintain an effective and professional relationship with all residents and their family / supporters in line with the organisation's policies and procedures
* Act as facilitator / coordinator to ensure that residents receive the care and support services they require from other relevant agencies

Experience and Skills



* Valid enhanced DBS
* Excellent Customer Service Skills
* Competent with face to face, phone and email communication
* Experience of doing previous admin roles
* A desire to help and assist people
* Be mindful of vulnerable people
