We are currently recruiting for a Housing & Wellbeing Advisor who can manage & show professional care towards older & vunberable people by providing high quality accomdation and service.

We are looking for the perfect candiate who will be eunthaustic & actively engage with residents to help promote an independant & safe living enviroment by ensuring excellent communication at all times.

Everyday is different depending on the needs of residents and the local community.

However, key responsibilities include -

1 Effective Management and Compliance

Proactively manage the customer journey including start to end tenancy set up and ongoing management

Ensure all administration is effectively and efficiently completed

Timely processing of requisitions through agresso and ensuring supplies are kept at correct levels

Ensuring outstanding repairs are followed up as per process and escalated if delays are experienced

Completion of audit action plan tasks to agreed timescales and reporting status updates

Respond accordingly to any initial instances of dissatisfaction or anti-social behavior on site to help resolve matters efore they escalate, seeking advice and support where needed from line manager

1 Financial Performance

Market the scheme to prospective clients including carrying out viewings and completion of tenancy sign-up

Provide advice on rent and service charge payments and assist with claims for benefits

Actively support the PfP income recovery team to reduce rent arrears

Planning consultations with residents on F&E budgets and organise timely procurement of agreed purchases

Responsible for banking guest room income, TV license monies and petty cash

1 Resident Engagement

Make sure that new residents are welcomed and understand how all the services operate

Proactively engage with residents at regular forums to gain input for housing management forums

Create a "lively scheme" ensuring an active and vibrant environment is created to reduce social isolation

Respond effectively to concerns and complaints, escalating to line management as appropriate or required

1 Customer Service and Service Development

Promote the organisation's products and services to existing and new residents

Develop and maintain an effective and professional relationship with all residents and their family / supporters in line with the organisation's policies and procedures

Attends training courses and team meetings as and when required

Input good news stories and newsletters as required

Person Specification

Qualifications and Experience

Good standard of reading, writing and numeracy

Experience of working in the social housing sector, particularly with a focus on older people (strong advantage)

Knowledge and / or experience of the issues faced by older people or other vulnerable (desirable)

Relevant professional qualification in Housing or Social Care (desirable)

People Management, i.e. direct reports, contractors (desirable)

Skills and Abilities

Able to have a customer perspective and to respond effectively to their needs and expectations

Listens, consults others and communicates clearly, proactively and professionally (both spoken and written)

Able to build and maintain professional, good relationships with residents, colleagues and external contacts

Willing to travel across the organisation's locations as required for meetings and training

Committed to promote a positive image of the organisation at all times

Additional Requirements

Satisfactory Enhanced DBS

Willingness to train further in line with the development of the Later Life service

Competent user of IT with the ability to send emails, compose and print letters, complete online forms and be able to learn in-house databases
