Strong business acumen & ability to demonstrate commercial credibility Responsibilities:LEADERSHIP & STRATEGIC PLANNINGSupport the Head of HR and work closely with the HR management team to ensure the alignment of the People Strategy to the College's business requirements.Provide leadership to a team of senior HR professionals and develop a seamless, 'end to end' service culture within the team, including identifying and implementing process re-engineering initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.Participate in developing departmental objectives and KPIs, track key metrics and assist in developing timely reports on results and trends to Senior Management.PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTEnsure that People needs are understood and that strategic workforce plans are in place and are being delivered, providing the College with the right people with the right skills at the right time, to achieve the vision.Support the development of the College as a responsive provider of high-quality learning, drive continuous improvement and promote a culture of innovation in HR services.Understand and anticipate the need for change, diagnose underlying issues and build the case for change with stakeholders.Develop frameworks and constantly evolve the workforce plans to enable and manage the continuous process of change.Coach and build the capability of line managers to anticipate and pre-empt organisational issues.Lead on the performance review process and ensure compliance with performance management policies.COMPLIANCE MONITORING Work with line managers to ensure the successful, compliant, completion of all people processes including but not limited to:Recruitment, Selection, Contract Negotiations, Sickness Absence, Employee Relations, Appraisals, Management Training.
