Do you have experience working within HR? Are you available immediately? Can you commit to the next 8 weeks? This is a HR case worker position in central Winchester working on a temporary basis from now until Christmas. The client are prepared to take someone on a part time or full time basis (3,4 or 5 full days a week). Your working hours will be 08.30-17.00, you must be able to work on a Friday but the other days are flexible.
The key purpose of this role is to support the delivery of an effective range of HR services to managers and staff throughout the business. Due to the high level of HR projects currently running, you will be managing multiple cases across the HR spectrum.

Within this role, you will be;
*Proactively managing a variety of cases including; performance management, succession planning, disciplinary, grievance, welfare issues, redundancies, sickness absence concerns, etc
*Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and adherence to the business policies.
*Keeping up to to date with all business policies and procedures.
*Providing professional advice to managers and staff on all aspects of employment law and terms and conditions of employment, including advice on public sector developments.
*Undertaking such work as the Senior HR Business Partner may determine is compatible with the responsibility levels of the post.

Key skills and experience;
*Previous experience of managing multiple projects and cases
*Ability to support with and guide mangers with succession planning, capability, disciplinary, grievance, welfare issues, redundancies, sickness absence concerns etc.
*Knowledge of all current legislation and policies
*Experience of undertaking negotiations with Unison (and employee representatives as required) on policies and procedures relating to employment
*Able to advise on all aspects of employment law and terms and conditions of employment, including advice on National and Local Government
*Can discuss and demonstrate a proven record of delivery
*Ideally CIPD level 5 qualified
*Competent MS Office user, specifically with reporting functions
*Must have a minimum of 3 years experience of working within an HR role, ideally at an adviser level

*Confident in supporting, advising and sometimes challenging managers
*Confident and articulate communicator (orally and in writing)
*Politically sensitive and able to develop effective relationships
*Able to see the bigger picture
*Good business acumen and focus with the ability to think laterally
*Excellent organisational skills
*Flexible to change
*Able to work at a fast, accurate pace, ensuring no detail is missed
*Ability to maintain confidentiality

This is a part time or full time temporary opportunity working 3, 4 or 5 days a week. These days are flexible, but you must be able to work on a Friday. You must be able to start immediately and be able to commit to working until the 21st of December. You may be required, at times, to travel and attend evening meetings, therefore a full driving license would be an advantage. You must meet the minimum key skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity and will be asked to provide references to verify this. You will also be required to provide proof of eligibility to work and proof of address.
