HR Manager

Location: Trostre, Llanelli

Rate: £250 - £350

Are you a HR generalist happy to rise to the challenge of an autonomous role working both operationally and strategically? Do you like variety, able to be part of an operations team responsible for planning, change management, line management support, procedures and policies whilst commercially partnering with the business? We are looking to recruit a dynamic, experienced HR professional to cover maternity leave to ensure key interventions in their area are delivered and appropriate service levels are met.

This role is a key HR role accountable for leading and coordinating the organisation & people plan for the Packaging UK manufacturing business located in Trostre. The job holder ensures the effective implementation of all people processes on site in a way that drives improvement in organisational capability and adds value to the local business in line with site based strategies and objectives.

To carry out this role successfully, your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Planning



* Deploy the higher level HR plan, implementing such within the context of local business needs.
* Monitor business and people indicators, assessing root causes and contributing to the definition of solutions.
* Ensure alignment of central HR and local business people strategies, developing implementation plans for all site based activities.

Change Management



* Support employee engagement activities within the business, driving and coordinating local improvement action planning.
* Implement reorganisation and change programmes with the management team (with support from HR Operations as appropriate), ensuring that information and consultation requirements are met.
* Lead local improvement & development activities in line with the site's strategic plans to continually improve business and people processes on site.
* Ensure all consultation and negotiation arrangements with Trade Union representatives are managed in a proactive and supportive manner on site.

Line Management Support:



* In conjunction with the HR Operations Team, provide credible advice on key people issues and possible solutions e.g. resource planning, absenteeism, performance management & retention, employee recognition, etc.
* Lead the development of local line managers enabling them to undertake their people responsibilities effectively and confidently, providing both formal and informal learning opportunities working with the Learning & Development and HR Operations teams accordingly.
* Support line managers to build functional capability in their teams and to identify /manage key talent within their area, ensuring training plans and talent development plans are actioned.

Deliver key people processes:



* Ensure the effective delivery of all key people processes during the HR calendar including annual resource planning & implementation, quarterly talent management processes, regular employee communications and engagement, organisational health survey implementation & action planning amongst various other routine HR activities

The Candidate:



* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* CIPD Qualified (Membership Desirable)
* Solid business acumen, with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to ensure they can add value to the function outside of a pure HR agenda
* Experience of working with and influencing senior management teams
* Relationship management - internal and external
* Experience of coaching senior managers
* Robust knowledge of Employment Law
* Computer literate
* Self-disciplined and motivated
