Cosma Casting UK has established a manufacturing facility site in Telford, UK. Cosma Casting UK specialises in high pressure die-casting that designs and builds medium to large aluminium die-cast automotive components.

Position Summary:

The HSE/ Facilities Maintenance Technician is a broad-based role. It is based in the maintenance department but will have a dotted line to HSE Leader. This is intended to give hands on support to HSE function to facilitate repairs and improvements generated during H&S audits and investigations that tend to result in a maintenance/ engineering task.

The role will also cover facilities maintenance activities such as coordinating contractors on site whilst they are working on equipment associated with the facilities and the fabric of the building. He/she will also support in the measuring and subsequently reduction of the various forms of energy that is consumed by the facility and manufacturing within.

Role Responsibilities:

This role entails but is not limited to:

· Completing maintenance based HSE activities within the given timelines

· Facilitating and overseeing the plant's legionella policy

· Testing fire alarms and equipment to ensure system complies with legislation

· Support and organising testing of the loler equipment/ pressure testing

· Organise and document the regular service of facilities-based equipment

· Ensure the plant complies with PAT and fixed wire testing

· Facilitate documenting and reducing the plant's energy KPI ( £/kg)

· Provide support to the HSE action groups

· Provide support for internal and external HSE audits




· Time served maintenance engineer

· Previous experience within the same role

· Able to work at height

· Must be able to generate an action plan

· Must be able to work under own initiative

· A sound knowledge of Health and safety legislation

· Gas safe certificate or equivalent

· Knowledge of CHP / gas generator

· 18th edition

· IPAF licence

· H V Appointed

· IOSH managing health and safety
