    Are you an experienced Service Desk Analyst? Do you consider yourself to be proactive and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Wymondham?

    We have a fixed term Service Desk Analyst role available within Norfolk Police Constabulary. This role is ideal for someone with interpersonal skills and is reliable, responsible and uses initiative.

    The main purpose of the role is to provide telephone and desk side support to the constabulary, diagnosing and resolving customer calls while tracking and recording the incidents and requests raised using the Marval call logging system.

    Role: ICT Service Desk Analyst

    Location: Wymondham Police Station

    Rate: £12.72 per hour

    Contract length: 12 months

    Shift Patterns: 37hours PW, Monday-Friday, 8 hours between the hours of 08:00-17:00

    Responsibilities:

    • To provide a single point of contact for all customers of ICT
    • To undertake initial diagnosis of the incident, utilising the tools available
    • Reassigning tickets to 3rd line support teams where appropriate
    • Actively monitoring ongoing incidents
    • Administration of staff ICT accounts in accordance with Information and Security Policy
    • Contributing to creating Service Desk process maps and assisting in keeping documentation up to date
    • Following all agreed processes and procedures

    Essential requirements:

    • Demonstrate competent literacy and analytic skills
    • Proven experience of providing customer service within a call centre or Information Technology environment
    • Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Proven experience in working within a Microsoft Windows software environment
    • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrate an understanding of ITIL and Service Desk Institute Best Practice

    Desirable requirements:

    • ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate
    • SDI Service Desk Analyst Qualification
