Infrastructure Town Planner

*Circa £25.22 per hour* *East London*

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Infrastructure Town Planner within a Local Authority based in East London on an initial 6 month contract which has the options of further extensions.


The main duties of the role are as followings;



* To lead and develop a range of complex projects including infrastructure, capital, service improvement and efficiency projects.
* To analyse, develop and report upon data from a wide range of sources to support strategic decision making and strategy development.
* To provide detailed and high level briefings and reports to colleagues, senior managers and/or politicians, as and when required.
* To provide flexible project management expertise and resources, as a key member of and/or lead role in project based teams in any of the service areas covered by the Directorate.
* To be a key member of dedicated multi-disciplinary support team/s providing a responsive and high quality support service to their dedicated work areas.
* To manage a complex workload of S106 obligations in terms of ensuring compliance, working with Council service areas.

Requirements



* A good understanding of working in local government / the public sector.
* A Town Planning related qualification or relevant experience.
* S106 knowledge required.
