An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for a Interim Contracts Specialist to join our client, a leading financial institution. As part of their Commercial & Procurement team you will be responsible for commercial contract reviews and providing general commercial support across the Commercial Operations team to business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:The primary responsibility is for reviewing commercial contracts in relation to the organisations suppliers in accordance with the supplier management risk statement and appetite; this will include reviewing, interpreting, drafting, amending and negotiating various types of commercial documentsWorking collaboratively with the Commercial & Procurement team from a commercial law perspectiveSupporting the business in the contract reviews processSupporting and inputting into the design and production of contracting management information
Knowledge and experience:Strong ability to work closely within the Commercial & Procurement team and business functions to enable them to contract with suppliers for goods and services from suppliers Excellent technical drafting and negotiating skills are essential with knowledge of public procurement law, being a distinct advantageFamiliarity with IT contracts is a must An understanding of different contract structures including frameworks, single service agreements and supplier terms is a must Knowledge of data protection, freedom of information law and IT/IP is a must
Qualifications:Qualified in England & Wales as a solicitor, holding a valid practising certificate
