A Civil Engineering Quantity Surveyor position upcoming in Essex! Are you looking for a new challenge?

Location: Essex

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: ASAP / Notice Period

Position: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: Circa £35,000 - £43,000 D.O.E + Package

The Project:

The client is looking for a quantity surveyor that can get involved in a diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, water treatment works, paving repairs and specialist framework projects.

The Role:

This is a brilliant opportunity working for a well known contractor who hold an excellent reputation within the industry.

You will be responsible for:

* Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
* Negotiating costs with various parties
* Drawing up contracts (NEC)
* Monthly reporting (CVR)
* Responsible for work package change control and management
* Dealing with any pricing variations
* Responsible for project re-measure
* Preparing final accounts


* Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
* Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
* Attention to detail
* Minimum 5 years experience as a quantity surveyor
* Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
* Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, water works, frameworks and special works
