job description

A fantastic construction company based on Birmingham Business Park, near to the Airport are looking for an internal sales estimator to join their team!


You will be working in a well established team of 3, among customer service and administration staff in an open plan office with around 12 other staff members.


This role would be suitable for someone with sales administration/ sales support/ sales estimating, ideally in the construction industry!


Your Responsibilities:


* Work closely with the external sales team for all projects
* Maintain communication over telephone and email with all stakeholders including customer/ client base
* Gather prices from suppliers and raising quotations for customers within agreed deadlines
* Build relationships with suppliers to collate samples, technical information,
* Build a strong knowledge to understand building materials used on projects, including optimisation of certain projects and jobs
* Follow up all outstanding quotes
* Liaise with suppliers and customers throughout the whole process
* Process orders through the system with the customer service co-ordinators
* Support all administration support to the external sales team and sales director

Your skills/ experience


* Sales support/ sales administration experience OR Estimation experience OR construction customer service experience
* Construction background would be advantageous but not essential
* Strong IT skills, particularly excel
* Proactive approach to tackle problems and identify solutions
* Good telephone manner + excellent communication skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders
