About Our Client

With Headquarters in London and field offices in 12 countries worldwide, this charity is dedicated to delivering their vision to those in need. They are currently working in 70 countries and have live appeals to support causes such as the Syrian Crisis, European Refugee Crisis and Iraq Emergency appeal, to name a few.

Job Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain systems and processes which meet the highest standard of compliance for institutional donors, regulators and internal requirements.
- Provides added-value support to the Country Office and HQ Programme teams.
- Provides quality and insightful management information to the organisation regarding all Programme activities.
- Guide, train and build capacity at the Country Offices.
- Create systems which flags issues and variances to stakeholders.
- To provide financial guidance and advice to members of the Programmes department through analysis and interpretation of results and forecasts.
-To review and process MA grant agreements, grant transfers and international payment requests for the allocated region and raising queries where necessary whilst ensuring funds are sent within appropriate time frames
- To lead and support the region's approach to planning, budgeting and forecasting.

Preferred Skills:

- Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA)
- Minimum 4 years experience within a complex Finance function
- Experience of multi-currency accounting and reporting
- Experience of conducting field visits for the purpose of monitoring and evaluation
- Experience of creating systems and fit for purpose processes
- Experience of Fund reporting - full cycle (INGO or University funding)
- Experience of supporting the financial elements of institutional donor programmes such as ECHO, EC, UN etc

Personal Attributes:

- Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills
- Highly computer literate with knowledge of Excel, MS Office and financial software - MS NAV desireable
- Language skills desirable (French, Arabic, Hindi)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet competing deadlines
- Ability to understand complex financial and written information accurately
