IT Infrastructure and Application Support Analyst - Bedford

A leading, global ecommerce business is looking to bring on-board an experienced IT Engineer. The IT Support Engineer will assist in the managing and supporting of the IT Infrastructure including; hardware, software, desktop and shared Infrastructure, voice and data networks, servers, mobile and fixed telephony.

Responsibilities:



* First point of contact in all computer hardware and software problems and requests.
* Analyses problems (both technical and operational) and arrives at workable solutions.


* To liaise with users regarding escalated issues and to agree appropriate courses of action and priorities.
* To keep users up to date with progress and to liaise with colleagues and partners in an appropriate manner.


* Perform hands-on fixes, including software/ hardware install and upgrade, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
* Manage deployment, administration, and support for corporate servers/desktops - performing hardware repair and maintenance.
* Ensure that the incident management process is complied with including escalation to management for high/critical issues.
