Junior Studio Engineer required on a contract basis to join an industry leading automotive business.

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity at the forefront of automotive technology? Do you have a background strategically controlling the design and development of components / systems / vehicles? Have you got experience of working in a fast paced R&D / Engineering environment? If you are seeking an exciting technical challenge then this is the role for you!

As a junior studio engineer you will provide studio engineering support to the lead interior studio engineer and design support to ergonomic and aero buck design for the vehicle programme.

Key responsibilities:



* Work as part of a cross functional team in particular with the Package group and Vehicle Architect to ensure the delivery of a solution which meets the technical requirements of the vehicle.
* Work closely with the Designers, Clay modellers, CAS modellers to deliver specific studies to support the successful delivery of the future production product.
* Assist the studio with the creation of physical models to ensure the accuracy of key criteria.
* Support the lead studio engineer with the transfer of criteria from engineering to design studio.

Experience required:



* Experience of concept and detail design of mechanical and automotive components.
* Previous experience of working within a similar role within the automotive industry would be beneficial.
* Experience of developing concept/show cars.
* Good presentation skills.
* Must have good competency with Catia V5, being able to create and manipulate models
