The Role: Key Stage 1 Teacher
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Key Stage 1 Teacher to manage a dedicated class of Year 1 or Year 2 pupils. This role is pivotal in consolidating early learning, embedding vital skills in reading and mathematics, and guiding pupils through the transition from play-based learning to more structured study. Your passion will be essential in making learning memorable, engaging, and accessible for all.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic, differentiated lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
- Lead high-quality phonics instruction and ensure rapid progress in early reading and writing skills.
- Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating learning atmosphere that promotes good behaviour and independence.
- Accurately assess, record, and report on pupil progress, using formative and summative data to inform teaching.
- Differentiate teaching effectively to meet the diverse needs of all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs.
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents/carers to support pupil well-being and learning outcomes.
- Manage classroom resources effectively and contribute to the planning and enhancement of the Key Stage 1 environment.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and the wider life of the school.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and specific, recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
- A deep, current understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly phonics and early mathematics.
- A practitioner who is highly organised, adaptable, and creative in their pedagogical approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Commitment to inclusive practice and the belief that every child can achieve their potential.
- Strong behaviour management skills that promote a calm, respectful, and focused classroom.
