The Role: Key Stage 1 Teacher (Year 1/2)
We are looking for an inspiring and committed Key Stage 1 Teacher who is ready to make a significant impact on children aged 5-7. This role involves planning and teaching a balanced curriculum, with a strong focus on embedding phonics, early reading fluency, and mathematical understanding. You will be responsible for creating a stimulating, orderly, and vibrant learning space where every child is challenged and encouraged to achieve their personal best.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach creative, high-quality lessons that meet the requirements of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
- Masterfully lead phonics sessions to ensure all children develop strong decoding and encoding skills.
- Continuously assess pupils' work and progress, providing immediate and effective feedback.
- Establish and enforce clear routines and positive behaviour expectations across the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants to maximise learning opportunities for small groups and individuals.
- Accurately track and report pupil attainment to senior leaders and parents during required intervals.
- Differentiate learning activities to appropriately support pupils who are struggling and challenge those who are high-achieving.
- Engage enthusiastically in school events, staff meetings, and professional learning opportunities.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience successfully teaching in Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and/or 2).
- Expertise in early reading and phonics instruction is essential.
- A practitioner with a proven ability to raise attainment in core subjects (English and Maths).
- An individual who is highly adaptable, organised, and proactive in their classroom management.
- A commitment to fostering independence and resilience in young learners.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with all members of the school community.
- A reflective professional who is eager to embrace new teaching methodologies.
