The Role: Key Stage 1 Teacher
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our infant team. This role involves planning and delivering a rich, engaging curriculum, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and phonics, while expertly guiding children through this crucial developmental stage. Your passion will shape their first real school experiences, building the essential skills they need for the future.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver creative, differentiated lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum (Years 1 and 2).
- Establish and maintain an inspiring, well-organised, and secure classroom environment.
- Assess and track pupil attainment and progress, particularly in early reading (phonics) and writing.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote positive behaviour and independence.
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support all children's needs.
- Monitor and record individual pupil progress, addressing any emerging needs or challenges promptly.
- Lead and participate in whole-school initiatives, training, and professional development sessions.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care at all times.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant Key Stage 1 teaching experience.
- A thorough understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Strong knowledge and experience in delivering high-quality phonics instruction (e.g., knowledge of specific schemes is a plus).
- An individual who is energetic, patient, and highly creative in planning and classroom delivery.
- A commitment to inclusive practice and meeting the diverse needs of young learners.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy infant classroom effectively.
- A genuine passion for early years and primary education and making learning fun.
