This role would be suitable for an individual who wishes to work closely with students needing additional support in the classroom. Working in the SEN sector of education is highly rewarding, with each day being a unique learning experience.About The School:Specialist Education settings cater individually to pupils with a range of SEND such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH and Learning and Sensory needs. Each lesson provides a new and exciting challenge, often with learning going beyond simply being based in the classroom.Duties of the role include:Empower young people to achieve their personalised learning outcomes, including Education, Health and Care Plan outcomes and targets.Adaptation of class resources to ensure students can access learning materials, i.e., enlarging text, modifying carrier language, etc.Support students with the delivery of therapy interventions e.g., Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy following guidance and programmes set out by appropriate professionals.To work directly with young people to review their support needs, following the internal college processes.Undertake appropriate training and development as agreed with the Learning Support Manager.
