Have you mastered the ability to keep Year 5 students engaged for long periods of time?

A large Primary School in the Darwen area of Blackburn is seeking a skilled Primary Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to a mixed Year 5 class of 25, simultaneously inspiring them and encouraging them to perform to the best of their ability. In accordance with the school's commitment to providing every child with equal opportunities, learning is focused on individual pupils' needs and abilities, so a key part of the role will depend upon forming strong one-to-one relationships with the pupils in your care.

* QTS certification

Candidate responsibilities:



* Planning, preparing and delivering National Curriculum content in a way that motivates and inspires
* Delivering engaging and interactive lessons with a focus on problem-solving, creativity, independent learning and discovery
* Overseeing support staff in the classroom, ensuring that appropriate support is being provided where necessary so that no child feels left behind
* Communicating with parents and carers regarding pupils' progress, raising any concerns in a timely and appropriate manner while foregrounding success
* Assisting with extracurricular activities such as school trips, sporting events and clubs, inviting group participation and remaining attuned to children's needs
