job description

Do you have a passion for helping students to realise their potential?

Can you recognise individuality in young children and encourage them in their own unique ideas and talents?

A diverse and forward-thinking Primary School in Cheshire is on the lookout for a dedicated Year 3 Teacher to help an energetic year group hone their skills and strive for academic and social excellence. Conducting regular extracurricular initiatives and encouraging parents to get involved via social media or Parent Partnership Groups, the school promotes healthy and environmentally-friendly activities such as The Big Pedal - a campaign to get children cycling and walking rather than being driven to school. Similar collaborative activities take place throughout the year, focusing on national schemes such as Book Week.

Job benefits:

* Access to free CPD and safeguarding training
* The opportunity to work with the market leader for education
* Nearby public transport links to Stretford, Altrincham and central Manchester
* Nearby convenience stores and eateries, as well as green spaces and canal walks

Candidate requirements:

* QTS certification
* A commitment to high standards of teaching in order to maximise pupils' achievements
* A motivated, positive and dynamic personality that invites children to participate in lessons
* A willingness to join in with school activities and extra-curricular events, encouraging parents and carers to get involved alongside their children
* Excellent organisational skills combined with flexibility in order to deal efficiently with unexpected occurrences

Candidate responsibilities:

* Guiding children in KS2 through National Curriculum content, delivering lessons in such a way that students are inspired and engaged
* Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress, foregrounding success and raising any concerns with appropriate sensitivity
* Participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events;
* Getting involved in the school community and demonstrating to the children the importance of group participation and social skills

If you think you're able to deliver on the school's promise to give each child a happy, successful and memorable time at school, submit your application today! Parents, pupils and teachers are expected to work together effectively as a team, so be prepared to get involved with activities right from the off that are designed to improve children's enjoyment of learning.
