Lead Business Development Manager

Field sales role - Car not required - London zones 1-4

As the lead Business Development Manager, you will be building new relationships with commercial clients who are seeking to provide luxury temporary accommodation for their visiting staff. This opportunity has excellent paths for progression with a view to build a sales team this person will lead. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in building new relationships with a strong handle on building a sales strategy with the ability to recommend various forms of technology to enhance the sales function as the business grows.

This role currently has one direct report, and will require strong analytical abilities when it comes to sales reporting.

*Starting salary of £35,000 - £40,000 plus excellent uncapped commission structure

*Increase occupancy with medium and long term corporate stays
*You will be accountable for the successful performance of all properties in London, delivering all relevant KPIs in relation to your role (occupancy, profitability, growth, etc.)
*Creating strategic partnerships with Corporates, Travel Agents, selected student groups and other parties looking for short term accommodation, locally and internationally
*Hunting out business opportunities with the use of LinkedIn and other forms of technology to generate prospect leads near the 100+ properties in zones 1-4
*Agreeing terms of business with clients and building a strong foundation for a long term business relationship
Day to day Activities will include:
*Supporting the training of a junior business development executive
*Calling and visiting companies in person to create new relationships and confirming new partnerships
*Creating analytics and presenting KPIs to senior management on a weekly basis with relation to sales activities
*Showing properties to corporate clients as part of building a recurring sales relationship
*Responding to inbound enquiries (over the phone or email)
*This role does not include any account management, and is a true Business Development role in that you will be building a new territory
*Providing recommendations on technology to aid the sales function
*Working with the senior management team

*Natural sales ability
*Ideally minimum of 6 years Business Development experience
*Prior experience in developing corporate partnerships for hospitality, travel or other manged services is ideal
*Confident client facing communication skills
*Leadership experience is ideal as this role includes mentoring more junior colleagues
*Excellent numerical, verbal and written communication skills
*Tech savvy, including strong systems knowledge, for example CRM, excel etc
*LinkedIn fluency
*Polished, smart appearance as this role is client facing
