ROLE OVERVIEW

Our client is a leading universal bank offering the full spectrum of banking and financial services to a retail, corporate and investment banking clients globally. This role is situated within the Retail Credit Risk division, based in Sheffield, and will be responsible for providing the subject matter expertise necessary to lead a full review of Credit Risk Policy and Strategy for Buy to Let Mortgages. The expertise required includes in depth knowledge and awareness of both Credit Risk Analytics and Buy to Let Mortgage Portfolios. The UK Head Office of our client's Retail Banking division is based in Birmingham and so, depending on the stakeholder engagement needs of particular tasks on a day-to-day basis, you will be based between the two offices. Once you've had the opportunity to settle into the role, the hiring manager is also happy for you to work from home on days which do not require your presence in either office.

This role is a 6 month contract position, with the possibility of further extension as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supporting the bank's UK Mortgage team with a redevelopment of their Buy to Let strategy
- Undertaking a detailed review of the credit risk policy and strategy for Buy to Let mortgages

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

You must be analytically strong, with SAS/SQL skills, and relevant Buy to Let experience.

- Strong experience in credit risk policy, strategy, operations and related procedures
- Experience of Buy to Let lending
- Comprehensive knowledge of Buy to Let regulation
- Strong SAS skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to positively influence stakeholders across geographies or business lines
- Experience in delivering presentations, writing governance papers and making recommendations to stakeholders
- Appreciation of portfolio drivers and how to influence them
