Learning / Behaviour Support Worker

Are you looking for a rewarding role teaching young people? Are you capable of teaching and inspiring the most challenging of pupils? If so, we would like to hear from you!

We are currently working within an alternative education provider in the South-West Leicestershire area. This provision caters for KS3 and KS4 students who struggle to access mainstream education. Students have Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, they may also have a statement of Special Educational Needs.

The school are looking to appoint a Learning/Behaviour Support Worker to support students with their learning and development. This is a full time and permanent position to start in September


The ideal candidate for this role will:

- Have experience of working with young people
- Have a TA/Mentor/Youth Work background
- Have SEBD/SEN experience
- Be Team Teach trained or willing to take part in training

Responsibilities:

- Promoting students learning and engagement
- Supporting students with their emotional and behavioural needs
- Working proactively with other team members
- Promoting a caring and safe learning environment
