We are looking for a learning support and care assistant to work with SEN college students aged 18-25, in a fantastic college near Hillingdon. You will be helping your students develop independence by going out into the community and supporting them through work experience. These students will also need assistance with learning the life skills for the world of work so that they can be confident and independent individuals.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation
-Acting as a liaison between tutor and student
-Physically supporting learner, pushing wheelchairs, working with animals and working outside in all weathers
-Supporting learners with managing behaviour and accessing the curriculum
-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-The ability to adapt to a range of working environments and different learning abilities
-An understanding of health and safety implications
-The ability to work as part of a team
-Significant experience working with young people or adults with a range of learning difficulties
-GCSE grade C or above in maths and English
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-The ability and willingness to travel between sites and elsewhere on a regular basis
