A Secondary school we work very closely with is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant on a full time basis, a position that begins immediately after the October half term break.
The role involves working with students with a variety of Special Educational Needs and may consist of both 1:1 support and small group work. Experience isn't necessarily essential, but would be beneficial.

Responsibilities of the role:Supporting students with a variety of Special Educational NeedsBeing empathetic, patient and supportiveDeveloping a rapport with studentsTo support students across all areas of learning while at the same time allowing them independenceLiaising with the relevant class teachers and SENCO when required
Requirements of the candidate:To be approachable and understandingA basic understanding of AutismTo be punctualUnderstanding of SafeguardingAbility to communicate effectively with studentsBeing able to work full time between November 2020 and, potentially, July 2021Having a DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to complete a new DBS application
