We are looking for an individual who is nurturing and caring. In your day to day role, you will be assisting your students with therapy sessions and supervising on community visits. You will be encouraging your students to gain key life skills and help break down lessons so they understand them in bitesize chunks. Job responsibilities:
* Working on a one to one basis with PMLD students
* Understanding the social, emotional and physical needs for each student
* Helping students progress with their learning
* Liaising with other members of staff around the progress of the students
* Providing personal care and support in both educational and residential settings
* Boosting the morale of students when needed and encouraging them to have confidence in themselves
* Participation in therapy sessions and sensory rooms such as the hydrotherapy pool and the specialised gym

Key skills:
* Must have SEN experience, education, care or nursing
* Must have own means of transport
* GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English
* Adaptable working pattern and able to work weekends
