Do you have a passion for ensuring young adults reach their full potential? Have you got experience working with learning difficulties and/or disabilities? Are you looking for a role that involves both education and care?

A college near Woking are looking for a Learning Support and Care Assistant to provide support for students with severe and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You take part in aiding these young adults to gain more independence, learn life and living skills and progress into a supported living environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Physically supporting learner, pushing wheelchairs, working with animals and working outside in all weathers
-Supporting learners with managing behaviour and accessing the curriculum
-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained
-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation
-Acting as a liaison between tutor and student

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Significant experience working with young people or adults with a range of learning difficulties
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-Be able to adapt to a range of working environments and different learning abilities
-Be self-motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability and willingness to travel between sites and elsewhere on a regular basis
-Have an understanding of health and safety implications
