We are looking for a part-time Learning Support and Care Assistant to guide and support students with complex and severe learning difficulties, enabling them to access a wide and interactive curriculum. This college near Woking aims to give their students independence and life & social skills to ensure they leave as confident and strong individuals.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation
-Supporting learners in managing behaviour and accessing the curriculum
-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained
-Acting as a liaison between tutors and students
-Physically supporting learners, pushing wheelchairs, working with animals and working outside in all weathers

An ideal candidate may possess the following:
-An understanding of health and safety implications
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-An ability to adapt to a range of working environments and different learning abilities
-Significant experience working with young people or adults with a range of learning difficulties
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-An ability and willingness to travel between sites and elsewhere on a regular basis
-A self-motivated attitude and an ability to work as part of a team
