Logistics Export Operative

Randstad Engineering are looking for a Logistics Operative to join our global leading manufacturing client based in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

The Logistic teams include multiple functions and there will be a requirement to work across these teams as necessary.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely management, planning and processing of orders to our customers' sites. That will mean building sound relationships with customers and hauliers in addition to close liaison with our Sales Team to help drive the highest standards.

Acting as a first point of contact, it is essential you are customer service-driven and able to build a strong rapport with our customer over the phone and face-to-face, with the confidence to deal with stakeholders inside and outside of the company.

Other key deliverables include:
- Development of a value and maximising cost-efficiencies through effective haulage routing
- A real grasp of logistics and routing
- Enhancing the reputation of our delivery function
- Work to an agreed level of service and provide an empowering input on continuous improvement processes
