Immediate temporary Inventory Planner role in Thatcham. Are you an experienced Inventory Planner looking to work on a long term temporary to permanent basis in Thatcham from 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday? I am looking for a Inventory Planner to work the 8am to 4pm shift Monday to Friday on a temp to perm basis. Working in Thatcham, you will be required to start asap, following an interview with myself and the client. You will be responsible for the management and order of Logistics stock items supplied to the Operatives in the field. You will be working as part of a team of Planners who each manage a subset of Logistics stock.
The role will be predominantly focused on stock management and you will be required to work with peers and suppliers to ensure stock is delivered when required, paying £13.50 - £15.50 per hour.

To be considered for this job, you will need to demonstrate a minimum of 12 months experience of working within an Inventory/Logistics Planning environment. You need the ability to analyse and interpret data such as customer demand and forecasts. You will also be required to adhere to very strict health and safety and good house keeping regulations at all times.

Job Responsibilities:
*Analyse and interpret data, predominantly customer demand, forecasts and recommended orders, enabling you to place informed orders with suppliers
*Manage stock items to prevent excess or shortages while upholding a total stock holding value and ensuring business critical items are always available to meet demand
*Understanding customer requirements and make informed decisions which balance customer needs with optimal stock levels
*Investigate stock issues/purchase orders and track customer orders
*Produce reports verifying methodology and findings in action taken with customers, suppliers or orders
*Performing routine administrative duties in relation to the Inventory team such as data entry, answering telephones and assisting customers
*Provide training and cover in times of Inventory sickness or absence
*Work with the Logistics Project team in the implementation of ASCP and Demantra, assisting the Inventory team with training and processes

Preferred Skills:
*Experience in stock forecasting, planning and inventory management principles essential
*You must be a team player and comfortable dealing with customers and suppliers
*Be comfortable assisting the team with issues and provide guidance where necessary
*Take the lead in issues and manage through to resolution
*Be highly organised, proactive and self-motivated
*Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills
*Experience in Oracle E Business Suite would be preferred but not essential
*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with an advanced status in Microsoft Excel
