Lower School Social Emotional Counsellor

Location: Doha, Qatar

Curriculum: IB Curriculum

Experience: Three years post qualifying preferably

Sponsorship: Single applicants, teaching couples with up to 2 dependents

Salary: Competitive and Tax Free: Ranging from 11,000 - 16,000 QAR per month and based on experience

Contract: 2 years renewable

This is a Social emotional Counsellor role supporting the Lower School.

The Counsellor works closely with the Divisional Principal to facilitate and support the school curriculum and program. The counsellor's main function is to assess the guidance needs of the students, staff and community and to design and implement a guidance program based on those needs. This position has direct responsibility for coordinating the advisory/PSHE program.

Bachelor's degree required. Master's in Counselling preferred. Teaching certification should be issued from an accredited agency. Counselling experience with children and their parents is required. In depth knowledge of adolescent issues and current information resources required. Instructional expertise bridging all grade levels. Ability to work with teams in a variety of circumstances


Very competitive salary of 11 - 16,000 QAR per month TAX FREE dependent on experience. Housing is offered along with flights, medical cover.
