We are looking for a Student Support Worker to join a school near Sevenoaks which caters for young people with physical disabilities and complex medical conditions. The school is set on extensive country grounds and uses interactive and practical learning techniques to enable students to find their independence and social confidence. You would play a big part in making sure your pupils succeed in achieving these things.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Taking part in recreational activities such as pottery, sewing and D&T
-Working 1:1 and in small groups to promote active listening and development
-Ensuring effective communication with staff and students
-Maintaining high standards of safety
-Implementing students' care plans appropriately
-Promoting a caring environment and providing a high standard of care

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Own means of transport is essential
-A passion for and an interest in SEN and physical disabilities
-Excellent communication skills
-Able to work flexible shift patterns
-At least two professional references
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
