Development Engineer (Hydraulics) required on a contract basis to join an industry leading engineering and manufacturing business.Do you have a background in the development of components and systems? Have you got experience of working on hydraulic controls / systems optimisation / component integration projects? If you are seeking an exciting technical challenge then this is the role for you!You will be responsible for development of hydraulic systems working on a range of off highway vehicles. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in hydraulic systems and component development. Test and integration of machine hydraulic systems to solve complete NPI development / customer issues. Key responsibilities:Validation and Calibration of Electro Hydraulic ControlsTrouble shooting hydraulic, electric, powertrain or engine issuesInstrumentation set up, Machine Testing, Data capture and analysing machine performance via Vector CANape or other toolsInvolving other engineers and technical resources to address detailed technical problems.Working with a global team that requires virtual collaboration.Working with design resources and suppliers to rapidly implement design changes.Operate Compact Wheel Loaders, varying control tuning parameters to impact machine behaviourExperience required:Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, linkage kinematics, and the machine/soil interaction to optimise compact wheel loader performanceExperience of working on Agricultural or Off Highway EquipmentEngineering Degree Qualification or HND with experienceThis is an awesome opportunity to be part of a leading manufacturing business which offers an interesting, varied and exciting workload coupled with a motivated and passionate culture.
