Maintenance Team Leader - Client Direct -Central London - Up to 43K

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading institution in Central London and become part of their busy in house maintenance team.

They are looking for a Maintenance Team Leader to actively work as part of the estates function including but not limited to maintenance and electrical works, ensuring a high quality service delivery is provided enhancing the overall experience of those working at the estates.

The role will be supervising a small team of maintenance electricians and will be working a 35 hour week, Monday to Friday, 8-4.

From a qualifications point of view all applicants must be fully electrically qualified to city and guilds of HND/HNC level and previous experience of working within a hospital environment is preferred.

Applicants must have strong communication skills, confidence and enthusiasm and must have the ability to lead and develop a team of people.

Applicants must also be computer literate, confident in report writing and have proven advanced applied knowledge of estates management.

The main duties of the role are as follows:

* Take full responsibility for the day to day operations of the maintenance team.
* Make sure the required paperwork functions are kept up to date.
* Manage and monitor the work and performance of the maintenance team.
* Manage the ordering of spares and materials to site for standard PPM works and also for additional extra works undertaken.
* Ensure and control excellent housekeeping practices throughout all locations and buildings across the estate.

Applicants for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:

* Fully Apprenticeship trained
* Fully electrically qualified to C&G/HND Level
* Experience of managing planned and reactive maintenance schedules
* Experience of managing staff
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong compliance and health and safety understanding
* Experience or working in a commercial maintenance environment
* Ideally NICEIC qualified
