About the Job:

As the Manufacturing Manager, you will manage the manufacturing and despatch activities of a large service unit / production department. In this capacity, you will be responsible for the output and quality of all production, packaging and despatch processes on site and the Health and Safety of all manufacturing personnel. You will have responsibility for all site manufacturing employees, circa 265 individuals, servicing over 500 customers across a range of sectors, and will manage around 20 site processes.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:



* To lead by example and measure the organisational health, creating a strong, mature fair and independent culture, environment.
* To lead and ensure that all manufacturing activities are carried our according to legislative, mandatory & Tata standards.
* To develop short, medium and long term plans to ensure that high level manufacturing goals are achieved and lead programmes for improvement to beat the designated benchmark for the operation.
* To develop monitoring systems to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
* To develop plans to ensure that the annual plan spend budget is achieved and communicated effectively.
* To manage direct report and communications to ensure the management and the organisation are kept informed about the particularities and results of the production performance.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally be degree educated with significant experience of operating within a similar role. Experience within an automotive background, or an OEM would be preferred.

You should have experience of managing manufacturing processes effectively and be familiar with lean methodologies.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be paramount to your success, communicating with suppliers, customers and individuals at all levels of the business.
