Material Planner

Randstad Engineering are currently looking for a Material Planner for a worldwide engineering business at their Lisburn Site. The contract is initially on a 12 months order but will likely be longer for the right person. The role pays £10.40 per hour and comes with 35 days holiday per year.

The Role

To carry out this role successfully, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

* Conduct activities, including those undertaken on the Company's behalf by third party service providers, in a manner that fully complies with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental policies.
* Follow Felt Leadership and Behavioural Health & Safety standards in all activities.
* Liaise with central Supply Chain team to agree stock targets and timetable.
* Validate site sales plan accuracy with central Supply Chain team to ensure an effective supply chain.
* Place, amend and cancel steel purchase orders on suppliers as directed by the central Supply Chain team, to ensure accurate and controlled procurement.
* Monitor supplier activity and develop relationships with them to improve their overall performance on delivery lead-time and quantity.
* Maintain category/customer specific stock items to agreed levels.
* Monitor and report progress against the S&OP plan to central Supply Chain team.
* Plan optimal deliveries from suppliers to ensure they are matched with site receipt and storage resource.
* Provide purchase/stock information to business Management team.
* Reconcile supply and advice notes against the 'goods received' controls.
